Ethanol Blender Pump Program

The Kansas Corn Commission's Blender Pump Program provides funding of $2,500 to offset infrastructure costs, plus $500 for promotion for qualified ethanol blender pump programs.  Fuel stations that meet bonus criteria can receive up to $3,000 of additional funding.  If bonus criteria is met, a fuel retailer can receive up to $6,000 in infrastructure and promotional funds. 

To be eligible, the applicant agrees to offer the following for a minimum time period of 12 months: E10 and E85 fuels along with two blends between E10 and E85 (examples: E20, E30, E40).

E85-only pump funding: If the applicant offers E10 and E85 blends with ethanol sourced from Kansas ethanol plants, funding and bonus funding will be calculated at 50 percent of funding levels offered to blender pump applicants.

Kansas Alternative Fueling Infrastructure Tax Credit

Tax Credits:

• Expenditures for qualified alternative-fuel fueling stations shall be allowed a credit against the income tax imposed against the owner of such facility.

• For any qualified alternative-fuel fueling station placed in service on or after January 1, 2009, an amount equal to 40 percent of the total amount expended but not to exceed $100,000 for each fueling station.


This fund is administered by the Kansas Department of Revenue.
